Percival was born on January 7th, 1890 in Horley, Surrey, England. Percival's father was Thomas Kenward and his mother was Susannah Maynard. His paternal grandparents were Robert Kenward and Amelia Daniels. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, James, Frederick, George, Susannah, Amelia, Lizzie, Edith and Clara. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 80 in September 1970 in Surrey, England.
