Bertha was born on August 5th, 1903 in Godstone, Surrey, England. Bertha's father was Arthur Kenward and her mother was Mary Vago. Her paternal grandparents were James Kenward and Miriam Laker. She had three brothers and a sister, named Bartholomew, James, Edgar and Madeline. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 90 on September 15th, 1993 in Surrey, England.
