Frank was born in 1886 in Surrey, England. Frank's father was Arthur Brunwin and his mother was Grace. His paternal grandparents were Henry John Brunwin and Sarah Fox. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Philip, Leslie Oliver, Daisy, Ivy, May, Olive and Violet. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 in 1965.
