Sarah J. SMITH

Sarah J. was born on April 5th, 1789 in Frederick Co., Virginia.¹ Sarah J.'s father was Jacob SMITH and her mother was Patience BALLINGER. Her paternal grandfather was Joseph SMITH and her paternal grandmother is Rachel BEALS BALES; her maternal grandparents are Josiah BALLINGER and Elizabeth. She had six brothers and six sisters, named John, Joseph, Josiah B., Jacob, Isaac S., Seth, Elizabeth, Rachel, Nancy Ann, Mary, Lydia and Hannah. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 73 on July 6th, 1862 in Logan Co., Ohio.¹
