Rachel SMITH

Rachel was born on August 3rd, 1778 in Frederick Co., Virginia.¹ Rachel's father was Jacob SMITH and her mother was Patience BALLINGER. Her paternal grandfather was Joseph SMITH and her paternal grandmother is Rachel BEALS BALES; her maternal grandparents are Josiah BALLINGER and Elizabeth. She had six brothers and six sisters, named John, Joseph, Josiah B., Jacob, Isaac S., Seth, Elizabeth, Nancy Ann, Mary, Lydia, Sarah J. and Hannah. She was the second oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 80 on November 4th, 1858 in Green Co., Ohio. She was buried in Woodland Cem., Xenia, Green Co., Ohio.¹¹
